Readmission Policy for Service Members

Â鶹ֱ²¥ (KSU) is committed to supporting students who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. In accordance with federal regulations and the Federal Student Aid Handbook, KSU ensures the following for service members who must suspend their studies due to military service:

Eligibility for Readmission

  • Readmission applies to the same academic program or a similar program if the original is no longer offered.

Academic Status

  • Students will be readmitted with the same academic standing, credits earned, and progress toward their degree as when they left.

Tuition and Fees

  • Students will be charged the same tuition and fees as when they left, unless there have been across-the-board increases for all students.

Program Changes

  • If program requirements have changed, KSU will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the student and ensure timely completion of the degree.

No Penalty

  • No reapplication fees or penalties will be assessed for readmission following military service.

How to Request Readmission

  • Students should notify the Office of the Registrar as soon as possible and provide documentation of military service orders.
