Support for Online Students
KYSU Online/Global programs are designed with you at the center. Beyond high-quality instruction, you have access to a full ecosystem of support services that include academic advising, 24/7 online tutoring, career coaching, and library resources, which are all available remotely throughout your program.
Your Student Support Concierge/Online Advisor
The Student Support Concierge (SSC) is your online advisor and primary point of contact outside the online classroom. Your concierge provides personalized advising, monitors your academic progress, and connects you with university resources before small challenges become big ones.
Your concierge can help you:
- Register for courses and navigate degree requirements
- Explore your options if you're struggling academically
- Connect with financial aid, the registrar, and other campus offices
- Find tutoring, peer support, and community resources
- Stay on track toward graduation with proactive check-ins

Tutoring: Upswing
Free online tutoring is available 24/7 to all KYSU Online/Global students through Upswing. You can connect with a tutor in real time or submit work for asynchronous review.

Blazer Library: Remote Access
As a KYSU Online/Global student, you have full remote access to Blazer Library's resources 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Access 60+ research databases including Academic Search Complete, PsycINFO, CINAHL, and JSTOR
- Search the catalog and access e-books, e-journals, and interlibrary loan at kysu.on.worldcat.org
- Log in using your KYSU email and password from any location
- Access the library directly through the Blazer Library link in your Canvas navigation panel
Accessibility & Disability Resource Center (ADRC)
The ADRC ensures that all students have equal access to courses, programs, and university services. The accommodations process is fully electronic. You do not need to come to campus.
To request accommodations:
- Email or call the ADRC to request the accommodations packet
- Submit required documentation electronically
- Once approved, accommodations are sent to all your instructors each semester
- You must re-request accommodations by email each semester
