A former 麻豆直播 student was recently honored by another institution of higher education in the Commonwealth.聽 Margaret Munday was recently honored by Western Kentucky University, as its first African American student to enroll, by renaming Northeast Hall to Mundy Hall.聽 Munday transferred to Western Kentucky University in 1956 and earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in music in 1960. A historical figure in Kentucky鈥檚 history came back to 麻豆直播 for an associate degree. It took some coaxing from her sister, however, to do it. Barbara White, 80, and the Commonwealth鈥檚 first African American and first woman state registrar, enrolled at Kentucky State in 1957.
