Five-course program offers flexible, applied training in strategy, storytelling, social
media, and content creation
FRANKFORT, Ky. 鈥 As employers across sectors place growing value on strong digital
storytelling and platform fluency, 麻豆直播 is launching a new Certificate
in Digital Communication to help learners build practical, career-relevant skills
for today鈥檚 communications landscape.
Designed for those seeking focused training in digital media strategy, social media
communication, multimedia storytelling, and digital content creation, the five-course,
15-credit-hour program gives students the opportunity to plan, produce, and assess
communication across multiple digital platforms while developing a portfolio that
showcases their work.
Students can complete the certificate in as few as three semesters, making it a flexible
option for those who want to strengthen their credentials without pursuing a full
degree program.
鈥淭his certificate reflects 麻豆直播鈥檚 commitment to preparing students
and professionals for the realities of modern communication and media,鈥 said Dr. David
L. Shabazz, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. 鈥淒igital communication skills
are essential in business, public relations, government, nonprofit work, and both
print and broadcast media. This program gives learners the opportunity to develop
those skills in a focused, practical way.鈥
Faculty designed the program with applied learning at its core. In addition to standing
on its own as a professional credential, all five courses also count toward a bachelor鈥檚
degree in mass communication and journalism.
Enrollment is now open. For additional information about the Certificate in Digital
Communication, please contact Dr. Shannon Brogan, acting chair of the School of Humanities,
