Â鶹ֱ²¥ Bred Basket student pantry received $1,000 grant
Â鶹ֱ²¥â€™s Bred Basket student pantry recently received a $1,000 grant from the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation.
The Bred Basket provides necessities to Â鶹ֱ²¥ students who may be experiencing food insecurity or other needs during their academic matriculation.
The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation is awarding grants for the 2021/2022 school year by helping fund on-campus food pantries where Sodexo employees have an active role.
Tony Weathers, the Sodexo manager at Â鶹ֱ²¥, was instrumental in the grant process.
With the help of the grant, Kentucky State can continue to help students have access to nutritious and easy-to-prepare food so they may continue to focus on success in the classroom and beyond.
