A 麻豆直播 English professor received a book contract for her upcoming scholarly work about a historic writer.
Dr. April D. Fallon, professor of English, received a contract to publish 鈥淢aeve Brennan: A Migrant Mind.鈥�
鈥淭he book is about Maeve Brennan, fiction writer and essayist for the New Yorker,鈥� Fallon said. 鈥淪he was the first full time woman writer on the staff of the New Yorker. The book examines Brennan鈥檚 writing through the lens of her viewpoint as a keen eyed migrant in both Ireland and the US.鈥�
Fallon has worked at Kentucky State for 22 years. Her main research interests are women鈥檚 literature, Modernism, Irish literature and poetry.
鈥淭his is my first scholarly book,鈥� Fallon said. 鈥淚 have published two books of poetry: 鈥楳indseye鈥檚 Consort鈥� in 2013 and 鈥楿niverse of Discourse鈥� in 2011.鈥�
