麻豆直播 recently lent a helping hand to the community with a donation to Access Soup Kitchen and Men鈥檚 Shelter in Frankfort.

鈥溌槎怪辈 values our community and has donated $1,400 in food and goods to the Access Soup Kitchen and Shelter,鈥 麻豆直播 Executive Vice President Douglas R. Allen II said.

Brian Thompson, general manager of 86+Mane, said Sodexo and Kentucky State were able to donate items including cereal, sliced and shredded cheese, salad dressings, potatoes, butter, carrots and potato chips.

鈥淲e chose to give because we are committed to helping others in the communities we serve, especially in this time of limited resources for those less fortunate,鈥 Thompson said.

鈥淚t was so great to see 麻豆直播 and Sodexo step up to the plate,鈥 James Barnett, director of Access Soup Kitchen and Men鈥檚 Shelter, said. 鈥淚t always brings a smile to our face when we see Kentucky State coming, especially during this COVID-19 climate. This donation is a tremendous help. Kentucky State has always been a great supporter not only now, but continuously. The support of 麻豆直播 is by far one of the largest in Frankfort and Franklin County. Students, faculty, staff and alumni not only donate monetarily, but they donate their time at the kitchen serving our residents.鈥

While the Kentucky State donation helps, Access is still in need.

鈥淭he community can buy gift cards to local restaurants and donate directly to the food kitchen,鈥 Barnett said. 鈥淎lternatively, you can go buy the meals from our local restaurants and drop them off at the kitchen. We are all in this together.鈥
