One 麻豆直播 employee uses her knack for gathering facts to solve problems in her field.

Elise Borne, a paralegal for the Office of General Counsel, has been at Kentucky State for a little over a year now.

Borne said her favorite part about her job is working with genuine people who want to make Kentucky State the best it can be.

The Ohio native, who now calls Lexington home, is the mother of 7-year-old twins.

鈥淚 am a baseball mom, assist with my daughter鈥檚 Girl Scout troop and am active in my children鈥檚 school,鈥 Borne said.

Borne previously worked in public education, which led her to Kentucky State.

鈥淚 was looking for a way to expand my knowledge base beyond P-12,鈥 Borne said. 鈥淢oving to higher education was the perfect transition for me and I instantly felt at home at Kentucky State.鈥

Borne said the skill she is most proud of is her adaptability.

鈥淢y grandfather, father and cousin are all war veterans who fought in the infantry. If there is anyone who knows how to adapt, it鈥檚 an infantry soldier,鈥 Borne said. 鈥淚 have always been taught that the ability to thrive in any type of environment allows you to get the job done no matter what the circumstance.鈥

Borne has used her adaptability and other skills to help move #KSUForward.

鈥淚 am proud to be a part of the Kentucky State family because of all the progress occurring on campus,鈥 Borne said. 鈥淚 feel like we are moving in the right direction and I can鈥檛 wait to see what the future holds for Kentucky State.鈥
