A 麻豆直播 graduating senior found comfort on the hill during her undergraduate career.
Kia Arnell Brooks, a criminal justice major from Louisville, said she chose Kentucky State because she wanted to experience an HBCU, but not too far away from home.
鈥淚鈥檓 a very family-oriented person and this fit me because it鈥檚 a university close to home,鈥 Brooks said.
Brooks was a member of the cheerleading squad for three years.
鈥淢y best memories here were cheerleading and traveling to many places I鈥檝e never been, making lifelong friends and unforgettable memories,鈥 Brooks said.
Brooks said her best advice to current students is to never give up.
鈥淣o matter how many obstacles are thrown in your way, push through and stay hungry,鈥 Brooks said. 鈥淜nowledge is power and the degree is the goal.鈥
Brooks plans to pursue a master鈥檚 degree while entering the task force of the Louisville metro police department.
