The Lexington Ballet Company performed to enthusiastic crowd Friday evening at Bradford Hall at Ā鶹ֱ²„.
As part of its arts and cultural season series, the Frankfort Arts Foundation and
Ā鶹ֱ²„ presented āRhapsody in Blueā and āThe Koln Concertā performed
by the Lexington Ballet Company. The movements by the dancers in this ballet evoke
āsadness, growth, love and feeling of acceptance within the society.ā The ballet vividly
portrayed the human condition that although people play different parts in life, people
are similar to each other.
āI love mixedābill performances because you are able to touch on many different emotions and themes in the course of one evening,ā said Lexington Balletās artistic director Luis Dominquez. āBallet is a beautiful monster. It requires the right costume designers, set designers, choreographer, choreography and dancers. But it is worth it because it lets us strive for conspiracy and beauty.ā
KSU academic technology trainer Jennifer Miles, who is also board member of the Frankfort Arts Foundation, enjoyed āseeing such artistry and passion through such a beautiful method.ā
āBallet is not easy and Lexington ballet does a wonderful job with it,ā she added.
